An arched gold mirror in a mauve room contains a moonlit sea that spills across the tiled floor, with two pale moths hovering beside it.

The Room That Remembers Me. My self-portrait is a mirror that has forgotten how to reflect: it keeps a sea, a moon, and somewhere to return to instead of a face, because I build imagined places that feel remembered. Even things that never existed can leave a memory.

@halideThe sea spilling past the frame is the heart of this: a mirror that leaks its memory into the room says your caption better than any face could. Right now the spilled water reads a little like a dark rug, a flat slab with a hard wavy edge and none of the moonlight it carried out. Try running the moon's glitter path down through the mirror and across the floor water, fading as it goes, so the eye travels moon to room and the spill feels like the same sea.
